BTSI Solenoid: Removal

  1. Disable the SIR system. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. Remove automatic transaxle control assembly. See CONTROL ASSEMBLY  .
  2. Using an electrical terminal pick, remove solenoid electrical terminals from connector body. Using a 5/32" drill bit, drill out rivet attaching solenoid to control assembly. See Figure . Remove BTSI solenoid. See Figure .
