Fuel Filler Tube: Installation
- Ensure fuel filler check valve is in place at the end of the fuel filler pipe. Position filler pipe in wheel opening with top pipe within the body panel opening. Install fuel filler pipe into fuel tank opening. Install, but do not tighten, filler pipe lower bracket mounting screw. Install and tighten filler pipe upper bracket mounting screw.
- Install rubber closeout grommet to body and filler pipe. Install fuel filler cap. Tighten hose clamp on filler pipe-to-fuel tank connecting hose. Tighten filler pipe lower bracket mounting screw. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect EVAP canister vent hose and harness connector. Tighten lower attachment screw on filler pipe to underbody. Fill fuel tank. Inspect for fuel leaks. Install wheelwell inner liner.
