Diagnostic Aids

To locate an intermittent problem, use scan tool to command COOLING FAN RELAY off while monitoring COOL FAN REL. - LOW VOLT or COOL FAN REL. - OPEN test. When a fault (open or short to ground) exists, scan tool will display TEST FAIL for both tests.

Tests will fail only when device is being commanded off and voltage at PCM is low.

Cooling fan relay coil resistance should be 75-105 ohms.
