Lumbar Support Cable Replacement (SC2/SL2/SW2): Notes

  1. Adjust the lumbar by turning the lumbar knob until the setting of least support is achieved.
  2. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .

  4. Remove the headrest assembly.
    1. Raise the headrest assembly to the full up position.
    2. Push the headrest lever towards the rear of the vehicle.
    3. Pull the headrest out of the seatback.

  6. Remove the lumbar knob retaining clip.
  7. Remove the lumbar knob by pulling.
  8. Remove the lumbar actuator fasteners.

  10. Remove the lumbar actuator cable assembly by pushing rearward.
  11. Thread the lumbar cable back over the riser bar to the rear side of the seat back.

  13. Disengage the interlock strip at the bottom of the seat back.

  15. Pull the seat cover up enough to expose the lumbar basket.
  16. Place one hand at the top of the lumbar basket.
  17. Press down with that hand while removing the lumbar actuator cable barrel from the slot.
  18. Slide the lumbar actuator cable through the lumbar cable guide.
  19. Pull the cable housing away from the cable at the actuator end.
  20. Pull up on the cable removing the lumbar cable barrel from the actuator.
