PURPOSE

IMPORTANT: This bulletin applies to the paper service manual only.

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform Saturn Retailers of a correction to the DTC P1516 diagnostic flow chart on page 765 in the 2002-2003 Saturn L-Series Powertrain Electrical Diagnostics Service Manual. A step in the DTC P1516 diagnostic flow chart that directs the technician to disconnect the J2 connector to check for continuity is incorrect. The correct connector which houses circuits 581 and 582 is J1.

Please obtain the 2002-2003 Saturn L-Series Powertrain Electrical Diagnostics Service Manual. In the DTC P1516 diagnostic flow chart on page 765, in the statement "Disconnect ECM J2 harness connector," cross out J2 and write in J1.
