Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  2. Pull back the front door water deflector enough to access the lock rod. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .

  3. Detach the lock rod from the latch assembly by pulling outward.
  4. Remove the lock rod by pulling up through the access hole.
