Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    2. Fig 1: Installing Steering Gear-To-Frame Bolts & Nuts

  2. Remove the steering gear heat shield to frame bolts.
  3. Remove the heat shield from the vehicle.
