Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTIC in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the power steering pump the cylinder head.

    Tighten:  Tighten the power steering pump to cylinder head bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  2. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  3. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  4. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering gear.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  5. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  6. Fill the power steering reservoir and bleed air from the system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
