Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window to the full UP position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
  3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  4. Remove the door inside handle screw.

  5. Disengage the door outside handle rod from the door lock assembly.

  6. Disconnect the wiring connector from the door lock assembly, if equipped.

  7. Slide the door inside handle rearward in order to disengage the tabs.
  8. Remove the lock cylinder rod.
  9. Remove the door lock assembly attachment bolts.

  10. Remove the inside handle assembly from the door.
    IMPORTANT: This assembly should include the rods and lock assembly.
  11. Disconnect the inside door handle and door lock assembly from the rods.
