Installation Procedure

- Position the wiper arm near the bottom of the windshield and align with the previously made alignment marks.
If the windshield was replaced, position the drivers side center pivot of wiper arm 15 mm above the windshield lower molding and the passenger side wiper arm 45 mm above the windshield lower molding.
- Install the wiper arm retaining washer and a new nut.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 12 N.m (9 lb ft).
- Install the wiper arm finish cap.
- Inspect the wiper/washer system for proper operation.
NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice
in Cautions and Notices.
IMPORTANT:
Use new nuts. Torque retention of old nuts may not be sufficient.
