Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire & Wheel Removal & Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Disconnect the brake hose from the brake bracket.

  4. If applicable, disconnect the ABS harness from the brake bracket.

  6. Loosen the steering knuckle to strut fasteners.
  7. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the strut assembly. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .

  9. Remove the strut assembly to body attachment nut. Discard the nut.

  10. IMPORTANT: Protect the CV boot during strut removal.
  11. Remove the strut to knuckle fasteners. Discard the fasteners.
  12. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
