Removal Procedure

Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement .
Using a screwdriver, disconnect the control cable end from the pin on the control assembly.
Remove the control cable retaining clip.
Depress the tabs on the control cable and remove the cable from the control assembly.

Remove the control assembly-to-floor pan bolts and remove the control assembly.
If the shift control assembly is being replaced, transfer the parts as needed. Refer to the appropriate procedures in this service manual.
