Installation Procedure

  1. Install the wiper motor module support bracket (4) to the wiper motor (3). Refer to Wiper Motor Module Support Bracket Replacement .
  2. Position the wiper motor (3) to the wiper drive system module (2).
  3. Position the spacer (1) to the wiper drive system module (2).
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the 2 wiper motor bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

  5. Install the wiper transmission links onto the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39529  . See Special Tools .

  6. Install the wiper drive system module. Refer to Wiper Drive System Module Replacement .
  7. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  8. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
  9. Inspect the washers for proper operation.
