Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  4. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the strut.

  6. Remove the strut to steering knuckle nuts.
  7. If applicable, reposition the wheel speed sensor/ABS harness and bracket.
  8. Remove the strut to steering knuckle bolts.

  10. Remove the upper strut cap to body nuts.
  11. IMPORTANT: In order to prevent damage to the CV joint boot, place a shop towel over the CV joint.
  12. Remove the strut from the vehicle.
