Installation Procedure

Install the hood to the vehicle, with an assistant.

Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Fig 3: Identifying Upper Hood Hinge Bolts

Install the bolts to the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.
Tighten: Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the hood assist rods. Refer to Assist Rod Replacement - Hood .
Adjust the hood as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
