Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the negative cable.
- For vehicles equipped with a 4T45 transmission, install the engine harness ground lead fastener (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- For vehicles equipped with a 6T45 transmission, Install the engine harness ground lead fastener (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install tape holding the positive cable to the negative cable.
- Install the negative battery cable clip to the battery tray.
- Install the negative cable ground terminal nut at the tie bar and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LE5, LE9, LY7) .
