Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Saturn Ion Red Line. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Rotate the bypass valve actuator until the rod engages the lever.
- Install the bypass valve actuator bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Remove the bypass valve positioner from the bypass valve actuator. Discard.
- Install the vacuum hose to the bypass valve actuator.
IMPORTANT:
When installing the bypass valve actuator to the supercharger, rotate the assembly until the bypass valve shaft lever comes in contact with the stop block.
