Removal Procedure

Disconnect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
Disconnect the positive battery cable (1).

Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer (1).
Disconnect the battery vent assembly.
Remove the battery brace bolt and brace (2).

IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

Remove the battery.
