Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the inside rearview mirror.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the inside rearview mirror lamps supply voltage circuit and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the supply voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
  3. Connect the inside rearview mirror harness connector.
  4. Verify with a scan tool that the DTC does not reset as current.
  5. If the DTC resets, test or replace the inside rearview mirror.
