Preliminary Procedure: Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .
1	Steering Wheel Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 37 N.m (27 lb ft)
2	Steering Wheel Procedure Disconnect the electrical connectors as needed. Remove the steering wheel using puller J 1859-A with puller legs J 36541-A . Make an alignment mark to note the relationship between the steering wheel and the steering shaft. The marks will be needed to align the wheel during installation. Tighten: 37 N.m (27 lb ft)

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connectors as needed.
Remove the steering wheel using puller J 1859-A with puller legs J 36541-A .
Make an alignment mark to note the relationship between the steering wheel and the steering shaft. The marks will be needed to align the wheel during installation.
