Ignition Coil ASSY (2AZ-FE): Replacement

NOTE: When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following system after the terminal is reconnected.

INITIALIZE SYSTEMS

System Name	Refer to
Power Window Control System	INITIALIZATION
Sliding Roof System	INITIALIZATION

DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
REMOVE ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSY
1. Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

2. Remove the 4 bolts, then 4 ignition coils.
HINT:

1 ignition coil is installed with 1 bolt.

INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSY
1. Install the 4 ignition coils with the 4 bolts.
  1. Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)
  HINT:
  
  1 ignition coil is installed with 1 bolt.

2. Connect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSY NO. 1 (See REPLACEMENT )
CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
1. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
