Lighting System: Inspection

  1. HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Inspect light control switch continuity.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      13 - 16 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      14 - 16 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      14 - 16 TAIL Below 1 Ω
      13 - 16 HEAD Below 1 Ω
      14 - 16 HEAD Below 1 Ω

    2. Inspect headlight dimmer switch continuity.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      8 - 16 FLASH Below 1 Ω
      7 - 8 FLASH Below 1 Ω
      16 - 17 LOW BEAM Below 1 Ω
      7 - 16 HIGH BEAM Below 1 Ω
    3. Inspect turn signal switch continuity.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Left turn Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2 Neutral 10 kΩ or higher
      2 - 3 Neutral 10 kΩ or higher
      2 - 3 Right turn Below 1 Ω
  2. HEADLAMP RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (When battery voltage applied to terminals 1 - 2)

  3. TAIL LAMP RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (When battery voltage applied to terminals 1 - 2)

  4. AIR CONDITIONING PANEL SUB-ASSY 
    1. Inspect hazard warning switch continuity.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

        Standard: 

        TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        9 - 25 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        9 - 25 ON Below 1 Ω
      2. Connect the positive lead (+) from the battery to terminal 25 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9, then check that the lamp comes on.
        1. OK: 
        2. Lamp comes on.

  5. STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

      1 - 2 Switch pin free Below 1 Ω
      3 - 4 Switch pin free 10 kΩ or higher

  6. BACK UP LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

  7. PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

      1 - 2 Shift position R Below 1 Ω

  8. TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER 
    1. Inspect ignition key cylinder lamp operation.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 6, then check that the illumination comes on.
        1. OK: 
        2. Illumination comes on.

  9. FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

      1 - Switch body ON (When shaft is pressed) 10 kΩ or higher

  10. BACK DOOR LOCK ASSY 
    1. Inspect back door courtesy lamp switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

      1 - 2 Back door is closed 10 kΩ or higher

  11. MAP LAMP ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard:

      3 - 4 Switch is OFF 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 8, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
      1. OK: 
      2. Lamp comes on. 
    3. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
      1. OK: 
      2. Lamp comes on. 
  12. ROOM LAMP ASSY NO.1 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Switch is OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 3 Switch is OFF 10 kΩ or higher
    2. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
      1. OK: 
      2. Lamp comes on. 
    3. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 3, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
      1. OK: 
      2. Lamp comes on.

  13. ROOM LAMP ASSY NO.2 
    1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 1, then check that the lamp comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
      1. OK: 
      2. Lamp comes on.

  14. INDICATOR LAMP ASSY 
    1. Inspect front console illumination.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the illumination comes on.
        1. OK: 
        2. Illumination comes on.
