Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table shown in DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL)  .

      STANDARD: 

      DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D4-13 (TC) - D4-4 (CG) IG switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step   3 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in SKID CONTROL ECU SPECIFIED CONDITIONS  .

      STANDARD: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-16 (TC) - D4-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in DLC3 SPECIFIED CONDITIONS  .

      STANDARD: 

      DLC3 SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-16 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC CIRCUIT) 

    OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in DLC3 - BODY GROUND SPECIFIED CONDITIONS  .

      STANDARD: 

      DLC3 - BODY GROUND SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D4-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT) 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR SPECIFIED CONDITIONS  .

      STANDARD: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-16 (TC) - D4-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table shown in DLC3 SPECIFIED CONDITIONS  .

      STANDARD: 

      DLC3 SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-16 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC CIRCUIT) 

    OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
