Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE (TC TERMINAL) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TC (D1-13) - CG (D1-4) 11 to 14 V

    1. NG : Go to step   3 
    2. OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TC (S1-16) - TC (D1-13) 1 Ω or less
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TC (S1-16) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      DLC3 TERMINAL - BODY GROUND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      CG (D1-4) - Body ground 1 Ω or less

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3 CONNECTOR TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TC (S1-16) - TC (D1-13) 1 Ω or less
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      TC (S1-16) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  )
