Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 when using the hand-held tester, and start from step 2 when not using the hand-held tester.
- 1 READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and press the hand-held tester main switch on.
- Select the item below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the hand-held tester.

- 2 CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER ASSY)

- Disconnect the combination meter connector and skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR AND COMBINATION METER CONNECTOR TERMINALS RESISTANCETester connection Condition Specified condition C6-28 - S3-12 (SP1) Always Below 1 Ω C6-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - NG REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SEE ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- 3 INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
COMBINATION METER CONNECTOR TERMINALS VOLTAGETester connection Condition Specified condition C6-28 - Body ground Ignition switch OFF --> ON Below 1 V --> 10 to 14 V - NG REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY (See COMBINATION METER ASSY )
- OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
