Upper Instrument Panel: Installation

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Set the instrument panel.
    2. Connect the connectors.
    3. Attach the 3 clips and 9 claws to install the instrument panel.
    4. Install the 4 screws and bolt.

      Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)

  2. CONNECT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR 
  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Push in the sides of the glove compartment door, as indicated by the arrows in the illustration. Then close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Install the radio bracket with the 2 screws.
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Install the radio bracket with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER 
    1. Connect the connectors.
    2. Attach the 4 clips and claw to install the instrument panel cluster finish panel.
    3. Install the 4 screws.

  7. INSTALL HEATER CONTROL KNOB 
    1. Install the 3 heater control knobs.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Attach the 2 clips and 2 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
  9. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  10. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connectors.
    2. Install the combination meter with the 3 screws.

  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel.
    2. Install the 2 clips.

  12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL LH 
    1. Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the instrument panel finish lower panel.
  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  14. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish.
  15. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).

      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
