Cooling System (Mechanical): Cooling: Radiator: Installation

  1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 pawl fittings of the shroud.
    2. Install the fan assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT LOWER 
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the radiator assembly with the 2 radiator support uppers and 2 bolts.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the radiator reservoir hose.
    3. Connect the 2 clamps of the engine room main wire.
    4. Connect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.
  4. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle) 
  5. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle) 
  6. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET 
  7. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE INLET 
  8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  )
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  10. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE (See  COOLING SYSTEM  )
  11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  12. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
