Test Mode Procedure
- ABS WARNING LIGHT
- The ABS warning light operates as listed below.
- It comes ON when the ignition switch is ON.
- After that, it goes OFF in 3 seconds.
- The ABS warning light operates as listed below.
- BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
- The BRAKE warning light operates as listed below.
- It comes ON when the ignition switch is ON and the parking brake is set.
- It comes ON when the ignition switch is ON and the brake fluid level of the reservoir tank is lower than the low level.
- It goes OFF when the parking brake is not set.
- The BRAKE warning light operates as listed below.
- TEST MODE FOR VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (WITH INTELLIGENT TESTER)
HINT:
The manufacturer uses the test mode to check the vehicle speed sensor operation.
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Allow the engine to idle.
- Select the tester menus: DIAGNOSTIC, OBD/ MOBD, ABSA/SC and SIGNAL CHECK. The ABS warning light will blink.
- Drive the vehicle straightforward at 55 km/h (34 mph) or higher for several seconds. Then, do not turn the steering wheel and do not spin the wheels. The ABS warning light will go OFF when the signal check is complete.
- Stop the vehicle and do not turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the DTCs.
If DTCs are set, perform the inspection procedure depends on DTCs.
