Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly: Installation
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the outer belt with the 4 nuts (See
REASSEMBLY
).
Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
- Install the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH (See REASSEMBLY ).
- Install the rear seatback board sub-assembly RH (See REASSEMBLY ).
- Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide center (See REASSEMBLY ).
- Install the anchor part of the outer belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the inner belt RH. - With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
- Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
- When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
- After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again. If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
- Install the outer belt with the 4 nuts (See
REASSEMBLY
).
- INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD
- Install the No. 1 deck board.
- Install the 2 rope hooks with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the floor panel. - With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.

- INSTALL BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION

).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
