Floor Shift Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the lever with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Tighten the bolts in the following order: A, B, C and D.

      NOTE: Be careful not to put the wires of the indicator light of the shift lock system between the floor shift assembly and the floor while installing the transmission floor shift lever assembly.
    2. Connect the shift lock control ECU connector.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the cable to the floor shift assembly.

      HINT:

      Securely engage the claws.

  3. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  4. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER FRONT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  9. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION 
    1. Inspect the shift lever position (see ADJUSTMENT  ).
  10. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION 
    1. Adjustment the shift lever position (see ADJUSTMENT  ).
