Problem Symptoms Table
Use the table below to help determine the cause of a problem. The likely causes of the problem are indicated in descending order. Check each suspected area in order. Repair or replace faulty parts or perform adjustments as necessary.
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, sensor, etc., turn the ignition switch to OFF.
HINT:
- Inspect the fuse and relay before investigating the suspected areas as shown in the table below.
- Inspect each malfunction circuit in order for the corresponding symptom.

BRAKE ACTUATOR If the symptoms still occur even after the above circuits in suspected areas have been inspected and proved to be normal, replace the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). BRAKE ACTUATOR ABS, BA and/or EBD does not operate efficiently Check for DTCs again and make sure that the normal system code is output.
