Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the back door lock assembly (see REMOVAL ).
- Check operation of the door courtesy switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Courtesy switch)
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 - 3 Lock 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 3 Unlock Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the back door lock assembly (see INSTALLATION ).

NG : REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B) COURTESY SWITCH)
- Disconnect the 2A main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
- Disconnect the L3 back door lock assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2A-7 (BCTY) - L3-3 (D+) Always Below 1 Ω 2A-7 (BCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher L3-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the back door lock assembly connector
- Reconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.

OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
