Inspection Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (BACK DOOR OPEN)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
- Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
NG: Go to step 2
OK : REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
- INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the back door lock (see REMOVAL ).
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK
MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 1 (ACT-)
Battery negative (-) → 2 (ACT+)Unlock - Reinstall the back door lock (see INSTALLATION ).

NG : REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK MOTOR - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the L3 back door lock connector.
- Disconnect the C45 main body ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition L3-2 (ACT+) - C45-1 (TR+) Always Below 1 Ω L3-1 (ACT-) - Body ground L3-2 (ACT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the back door lock connector.
- Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
