Transmission Control Cable: Removal

REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
1. Remove the 3 nuts and the No. 1 front floor heat insulator.

REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever assembly.
2. Disconnect the control select cable from the shift lever assembly.

3. Turn the adjust nut 180° clockwise. While holding the adjust nut, separate the control cable assembly.

4. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the transaxle.
5. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the control cable bracket.

6. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and the transmission control cable assembly.
