Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the C19 ECM connector.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard voltage 

   STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C19-56 (D) - Body ground	Clutch pedal depressed	Below 1 V
   	Clutch pedal released	11 to 14 V

NG: Go to step 2 

OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )

1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the A16 clutch switch connector.
3. Remove the clutch switch, (see REMOVAL  )
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS
   
   

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   1 - 2	Switch pin free (Clutch pedal depressed)	10 kΩ or higher
   	Switch pin pushed in (Clutch pedal released)	Below 1 Ω

5. Install the clutch switch.
6. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.

NG: REPLACE CLUTCH SWITCH  (See REMOVAL  )

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the C19 ECM connector.
2. Disconnect the A16 clutch switch connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C19-56 (D) - A16-2	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C19-56 (D) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reconnect the ECM connector.
5. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - CLUTCH SWITCH)
