Transmission Control Cable: Removal

REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REAR COVER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (See REMOVAL )
DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR
REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
1. Remove the 2 bolts and nut and remove the front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever.
2. Remove the clip and disconnect the control select cable from the shift lever.

3. Turn the adjust nut 180° clockwise. While holding the adjust nut, separate the control cable assembly.

4. Remove the 2 clips and the 2 washers, and disconnect the 2 cables from the transaxle.
5. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the control cable bracket.
6. Remove the 3 nuts and remove the transmission control cable.
