Location
The seat occupied recognition pressure sensor is fitted to the underside of the front passenger seat.
Task
The seat occupied recognition pressure sensor determines the weight on the front passenger seat by means of a pressure measurement from a seat mat filled with silicone.
The value is used by the Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110) for determining the occupancy status of the front passenger seat.
