Crankcase Ventilation: Operation

Blow-by gases from number 2 and number 4 rocker covers are controlled and directed by the PCV valve into the intake manifold to be burned. Fresh air is drawn into number 1 and number 3 rocker covers from the clean side of air cleaner to ventilate crankcase.
