Wiper/Washer Systems: Operation

The standard wiper system has 2 speeds. Washer is operated by depressing button at end of wiper switch. Intermittent system has a third switch position that selects the delayed cycle. On XT Coupe models, time intervals are adjustable from 2-12 seconds by means of a sliding control switch located under right control pod. On all other models, no time adjustment is possible.

If washer button is pressed on this system, washer will operate and wipers will run for 4 cycles, then turn off. Rear wiper is operated by a switch on instrument panel.
