Alternator Output Test
- Connect test equipment to alternator. See Figure. Set variable resistor to minimum resistance position. Close switches "SW1" and "SW2".
- Keep voltage constant by adjusting variable resistor while raising alternator RPM. Measure alternator output at 1600, 3000, and 6000 RPM on XT Coupe. Measure alternator output at 1250, 2500, and 5000 RPM on all other models.
