"U" Check Mode

The "U" check is a user-oriented mode in which only the MPFI components necessary for start-up and drive are diagnosed. When a fault occurs, the warning light ("Check Engine" light), is illuminated to indicate to the driver that inspection is necessary. Diagnosis of other parts, which do not give significant adverse effect to start-up and driveability, are excluded from this mode.
