Engine Controls - Remove/Install/Overhaul: Installation

Insert the fuel filter in the opposite direction when removed. Connect hose at "D" in Figure . Install filter. Mount fuel pump onto bracket and connect hose at "C". Clip clicks at "C" must face bracket. Connect hoses at "A" & "B" in Figure . For hose connecting between tank and filter, connect end with white marking filter.

Connect fuel pump harness to body harness. DO NOT  allow harness to sag under body floor. This can be prevented by moving the body harness up to grommet

Fasten fuel pump bracket to body with flange bolt. Be careful not to jam harness between pump bracket and body. Tighten to 3.6-5.1 ft.lbs. (5-7 N.m).

Installation is in the reverse order of removal procedures. Keep in mind to replace old gasket with a new one and ensure sealing portion is free from fuel or foreign particles before installation. Tighten nuts in numerical sequence to 1.3-2.3 ft.lbs (1.8-3.1 N.m).
