Front Wiper Motor Operational Test

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Connect battery voltage to terminal No. 2 and ground terminal No. 3 of wiper motor connector. See Fig 1 . If wiper operates at low speed, go to next step. If wiper does not operate or operates at a high speed, replace wiper motor.

  2. Connect battery voltage to terminal No. 3 and ground terminal No. 4 of wiper motor connector. See Fig 1 . If wiper operates at a faster speed than in step 1), go to next step. If wiper motor does not operate or operates at the same speed as in step 1), replace wiper motor.
  3. Connect battery to terminal No. 5 and ground terminal No. 4 of wiper motor connector. Using a jumper wire, connect terminal No. 1 to terminal No. 2. Motor should operate. Remove jumper wire and ensure motor stops at auto-stop after operating at low speed.
