Continuity Test

  1. Remove instrument panel lower cover. Remove lower column cover. Unfasten hold-down clip securing harness. Disconnect combination switch harness connectors from body harness.
  2. With rear wiper switch in OFF position, there should be no continuity between combination switch connector terminals d-1, d-2 and d-3. SeeFigure . With rear wiper switch in ON position, continuity should be present between terminals d-2 and d-3.
  3. With rear wiper switch in WASH position, continuity should be present between terminals d-1, d-2 and d-3. Replace switch if continuity is not as described.
