2WD Line Pressure Test Results

  1. If line pressure in "N" is low, oil pump is worn or improperly adjusted, oil pressure circuit is leaking or pressure regulator valve is inoperative. If oil pressure in "N" is high, check for leaking vacuum hose or leaking diaphragm, or for long diaphragm rod.

  2. If engine is at full throttle and pressure fails to rise even though vacuum pressure drops, ensure diaphragm rod is installed. If pressure rises but does not enter specified range, check for sticking throttle valve, pressure regulator valve or pressure regulator plug.
