4WD Line Pressure

  1. Connect a pressure gauge to line pressure checking plug located on transaxle extension housing, behind oil pan. See Figure. Place gauge in position for viewing from driver's seat.
  2. With engine at normal operating temperature and transaxle fluid at correct level, perform line pressure test with transaxle in "N" and engine at idle (1500 RPM).
  3. Perform line pressure test in "D", 2 and "R" ranges (2WD mode). Start vehicle from a standstill and slowly increase engine speed. Note pressure in each range. Pressures should be approximately as shown in appropriate LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
