Abs Warning Light Stays On
- Remove hydraulic unit valve relay. Hydraulic unit valve relay(5-terminal) is located on hydraulic unit. Turn ignition on. If ABS warning light begins to flash, read trouble code(s) and continue with diagnosis. If ABS warning light is off, go to next step. If ABS warning light remains on, disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. If warning light is still on, check light circuit for short circuit to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 29 at ABS control unit harness connector. See Figure . If battery voltage is not present, inspect and repair circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
- Measure voltage between ground and ABS control unit harness connector terminal No. 1. If battery voltage is not present, inspect and repair circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, check resistance between ground and ABS control unit harness connector terminals No. 10, 20 and 34, and ground. If continuity does not exist, inspect and repair circuit(s) as necessary. If continuity exists, replace ABS control unit.
