Removal & Installation
Fuel pump is located in fuel tank. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect fuel supply and return hoses from fuel pump. Remove fuel pump nuts. Remove fuel pump. See Fig 1 . To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts in sequence to specification. See Fig 2 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
NOTE:
If vehicle does not have a fuel pump access panel, fuel tank must be removed to replace fuel tank.
