Test 2: Checking Security Light Circuit
- Disconnect security control module connector located under front console box. Connect ohmmeter between security module connector terminal No. 9 and ground. See Figure
. Check if SECURITY indicator comes on. If indicator comes on, replace security control module. See SECURITY CONTROL MODULE
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If indicator does not come on, go to next step.
- Disconnect 18-pin combination meter connector located in instrument panel. Measure voltage between combination meter connector terminal No. 1 and ground. See Fig 1
. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair wiring between SECURITY indicator light and main fuse block.

- Measure resistance between combination meter connector terminal No. 18 and security module connector terminal No. 9. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace combination meter printed circuit. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between combination meter and security control module.
