Test 5: Checking Front Door Switch Circuits

  1. Disconnect connectors from security control module and instrument panel combination meter. Measure resistance between control module connector terminal No. 5 and combination meter connector terminal No. 11. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between control module and combination meter.
  2. Disconnect driver door key switch connector. Measure resistance between door switch connector and combination meter connector terminal No. 11. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between door switch and combination meter.
  3. Measure resistance between combination meter connector terminals No. 11 and 12. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace security control module. See SECURITY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair or replace combination meter.
